You Bet Giraffe it’s Monday – And Time for a Giveaway!

Yes, I  know.  I just had to go there with the whole “bet your giraffe” thing.  But see, my Monday started at 3:15 am when the dogs had to go outside!!!  Apparently all that fun and excitement at the dog park yesterday hadn’t worn them out enough and they were up and ready to go before the sun came up this morning!  Needless to say, it’s going to be a LONG DAY!

But…being awake that early got me thinking.  It’s time for a giveaway!  I have one set of cards from yesterday’s Truly Tailored Sweet & Simple Class that I would *LOVE* to send to one lucky follower.  You’ll get the full 4-card kit + full-color PDF directions on how to assemble our cards.

Today’s card is the card I used as my masculine card swap for my Stamping Bee team meeting yesterday.  It’s also going to be the one I use for the Stamping Bee team twice monthly creative challenge.  The card features the new Animal Outing stamp set, that will be available June 2 in the new catalog.  I borrow the small birthday sentiment from At Home with You stamp set; it was just the right size!

The Stamping Bee team has so much fun together!  Last night, we met at a local pizza joint and swapped cards, ooh’d and aah’d over some awesome show-and-tell projects (Thanks, Rosie and Sharon!), and stamped 4 cards using the new Share What You Love early release bundles.  Everyone got a chance to use the new Grapefruit Grove ink pad, with the new designed case.  All of that, for only $5!  Then, most of us stayed behind and shared dinner together.

Base:  Lemon Lime Twist, 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″
Layer 1: Old Olive, 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8
Layer 2: Lemon Lime Twist, 5″ x 3 3/4″, embossed with the Layered Leaves Embossing Folder, and a circle cut out with the Layering Circles Framelits
Layer 3: Whisper White, Layering Circles Framelit
Layer 4: Old Olive, 2 concentric Layering Circles Scallops framelits (for the “frame”)

1. Stamp giraffe and branches in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink onto Layer 4.  Color with Light Daffodil Delight, Bronze, and Light & Dark Old Olive Blends Markers.  Stamp Sentiment in Early Espresso. 
2. Add Layer 3 behind Layer 2 and adhere to Layer 1.  Add to base. 
3. Using liquid glue, add several dots to Layer 4 and press and hold to card for a few seconds until the glue dries.  Hint:  I like using my Silicone Mat between my hand and the paper to keep things from getting sticky, and helping apply even pressure. 
4. Finish with three Old Olive enamel shapes. ​
