Woven Heirlooms and Dandelion Wishes

One of the best things about having a shelf (ok, 2 shelves) full of stamp sets is having the ability to find just the right images and sentiments to express exactly what you’re feeling. Today, I created a sympathy card using the Woven Heirlooms and Dandelion Wishes Stamp Sets. I read that dandelions are the perfect symbol for how something so small and unassuming can withstand great hardships.  I think that makes it perfect for a sympathy card, don’t you?

Base: Whisper White Thick Cardstock,  8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ 
Layer 1: Basic Black, 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″ 
Layer 2: Highland Heather, 5″ x 3 3/4″, embossed with Subtle Embossing Folder
Layer 3: Basic Black, 3 3/8″ square
Layer 4: Highland Heather, 3 1/4″ square
Layer 5: Whisper White,  3 1/8″ square

Inside card: 
Layer 6: Basic Black, 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″ 
Layer 7: Highland Heather,  5″ x 3 3/4″
Layer 8: Whisper White,  4 7/8″ x 3 5/8″

1. On Layer 5, stamp image in Highland Heather, stamped of twice first.  Then stamp sentiment in Basic Black. 
2. Adhere Layers 1-5. Wrap with Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon and tie a bow.  Add to Base. 
3. On Layer 8, stamp dandelion seeds Highland Heather, stamped of twice first. Adhere layers 6-8 and add to the inside of the card.
