Wishing you a Lovely Day

I’m feeling behind this Christmas season.  There aren’t any presents under the tree; they’re all still in boxes in my office.  You have to climb over them to get to the printer!  I haven’t done any baking, and my grocery shopping list gets bigger by the minute.   And the Lad comes home for Christmas tomorrow night.  Time to get it together and get this Christmas in full swing. 

I have been busy crafting, though.  Today, I’m putting 100 swaps in the mail.  And my cards for next Saturday’s Bingo are all designed, as are the cards for the Big Occasions & Sale-a-Bration KickOff Party on the the 6th.  My sample display boards are almost full and my head is full of design ideas for my 2nd Sunday Sweet & Simple Class (Jan. 14), as well as my Stamping Bee Team Champagne Celebration and team meeting.   What fun!  So much to look forward to in the New Year!

Whether you’re hitting the mall for some last minute shopping,  rolling out another batch of cookie dough,  or getting ready to bake some pies, take a deep breath and remember to breathe.  You’ve got this!  Enjoy the season and fill your heart and home with love, not stress.   And most of all, I wish you a lovely day.  

Base: Rich Razzleberry, 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, scored at 4 1/4.
Layer 1:  Basic Black, 5″ x 3 3/4″
Layer 2: Whisper White, 4 7/8″ x 3 5/8″
Layer 3:  Rich Razzleberry Scalloped Layering Circle
Layer 4: Whisper White Stitched Shape Circle (smallest).

1.  Run top layer of the base through the Petal Burst Textured Embossing Folder, sandwiching it between the folder so only the top of the base is embossed.  Set aside. 
2.  Using the Lovely Wishes Stamp Set (available Jan 3), stamp leaf outlines in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink onto Layer 2.  Then, stamp insides of leaves with Wild Wasabi.  Stamp leaf shadows with Smokey Slate, stamping off on scratch paper first.  Add color to the flowers using the Rich Razzleberry Stampin’ Blends, and fill in and add shadows to the leaves with the Old Olive Stampin’ Blends.  Adhere to Layer 1 and add to card. 
3.  Stamp sentiment in Rich Razzleberry onto Layer 4.  Adhere to Layer 3. 
4.  Add dimensionals to Layer 3.  Wind some Silver Metallic Thread around your fingers and attach to dimensionals.  Add to card.
