Have you heard the news? Starting tomorrow, 3/15, Stampin’ Up! will release a 3rd round of Sale-a-Bration items! And this time, they’re some of my favorites from the catalog – Birthday Memories Designer Series Paper, Color Me Happy Project Kit, and two sets of framelits – The Sweet Cake and Petals and More Thinlets. Talk about WOW!!!
What’s been your favorite Sale-a-Bration item this year? I think my favorite stamp set is Amazing You , along with the Coordinating Celebrate you Thinlets. And the Springtime Foils Paper is just lovely! Oh, and don’t forget about the Shimmering Ribbon 3-pack! But what I’ve gotten the most use out of is the Tutti Frutti Card Bases and Envelopes! I can’t believe there are 16 patterned card bases and coordinating envelopes in each pack! In fact, I’m using them in free card class that ‘s included in this weekend’s Stamping at the Beach Retreat!

Today’s Tutorial
Base: Bermuda Bay, (shown with the Tutti Frutti Sale-a-Bration matching envelope)
Layer 1: Basic Black, 5 1/4″ x 4″
Layer 2: Whisper White, 5″ x 3 3/4″
Layer 1: Basic Black, 5 1/4″ x 4″
Layer 2: Whisper White, 5″ x 3 3/4″
- Stamp image & sentiment in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.
- Work in sections, and color butterfly first with the Light Bermuda Bay Blend, then outline with the Dark Bermuda Bay Blend. Blend it all together by going back over with the Light one again.
- Add layers to card base and finish with a silver metallic enamel dot.
