Tutti Frutti Pineapple Palooza

Why is it, when I start talking about the Tutti Frutti Designer Series Paper, I feel like everything needs to rhyme?  Color matching, in a sense, is like visual rhyming.  Instead of a correspondence of sound, we have a relationship with colors.  In the case of this card, there’s Crumb Cake, Daffodil Delight, Garden Green, Lemon Lime Twist, and Pool Party.

Rather an underwhelming color scheme on its own, don’t you think? And certainly, not one that I would have put together myself.  But, add in some quirky little pineapples and a fun little punch, and you have a Pineapple Palooza!  Either that, or the makings for an awesome Pina Colada party! ​

Speaking of party…Sunday, April 8th is my monthly Sweet & Simple Class.  Here, we’ll make 4 cards using the Tutti Frutti Designer Series Paper and Fruit Basket Bundle.  The Sweet & Simple Class is always held on the 2nd Sunday of the month, and I’m driving home Saturday night from OnStage in Atlanta just so I can come party with you!

Base:  Crumb Cake, 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
Layer 1:  Lemon Lime Twist, 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″ 
Layer 2:  Tutti Frutti Designer Series Paper, 5 1/4″ x 4″
Layer 3: Tutti Frutti Designer Series Paper,  1″ x 3 1/2″, with ends punched with Banner Triple Punch
Layer 4, Crumb Cake Scalloped Layering Circle
Layer 5: Whisper White Layering Circle
​Layer 6: Scrap of Whisper White

1. Adhere Layers 1 & 2 to Base.
2. In Garden Green, stamp sentiment in center of Layer 5. Adhere to Layer 4.  Add Layer 3 behind and attach to base with dimensionals
3. In Daffodil Delight and Garden Green, stamp pineapples and tops onto Layer 6.  Punch out with mini Pineapple punch.  Adhere to card with mini dimensionals. 
4. Finish with a few Lemon Lime Twist  Tutti Frutti Lemon Lime Twist Self Adhesive Sequins.
