Snow from the plane!
One of the great things about being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator is being able to attend OnStage meetings. They’re held twice a year, once in the fall and once in the spring, to not only introduce new upcoming product catalogs, but to also demonstrate new techniques and ideas. Demonstrators travel from far and wide to attend. There are local, regional 1-day meetings (like when I went to Atlanta and Richmond last year). One one BIG 3-day event is held at various locations around the world. I’m so lucky that the big 3-day event is being held in Salt Lake City this fall!
Traveling to Salt Lake City from Raleigh can be tricky. This time, my flight was at 5:55 AM! In order to get there in time I had to be up and out of the house by 4 am. Normally I can’t sleep on a plane, but I did yesterday! As I made my connection in Chicago, I realize that just about every woman on the plane was from Stampin’ Up! I found two ladies I’d met at a retreat in Boston last spring and we sat and talked and laughed together. I told them that I was meeting my friend Stephanie at the airport and then renting a car to travel to Park City for the afternoon. I invited them to join us and we made a great day out of exploring this historic western ski resort town. I didn’t want to leave!
We had lunch at the No Name Saloon, thanks to the advice from my brother-in-law. Turns out, Sherry had eaten there before! I highly recommend the Buffalo Sliders and a local brew.

Ask the skies grew dusk, it was time to head back down the (very steep) mountain and get to our hotel. I’m so glad we took this little side trip before OnStage began. Good times, good friends, good food – It was a perfect Making Memories with Michelle day!
