Saturday, I hosted a big 16-card holiday catalog kick off meeting for my Stamping Bee Team. I teamed up with my mentor, Selene Kempton for this quarterly meeting and WOW! was it amazing! We ran the meeting in two places – mine in North Carolina and hers up in Massachusetts. There was a lot stamping going on this weekend. Everyone left with at least 16 completed cards, ready to share with family and friends, or use as class templates of their own during the holiday season.
Today’s card was not part of the 16-cards. But it does use the Merry Patterns Stamp Set, which I gave away as a raffle prize for anyone who brought a display board to share with the group. Speaking of giving away…did you know that the Merry Patterns Stamp Set is part of the September/October host Promotion and is free with any qualifying order ($300). That $300 can be an individual order, or it can be a class order. I just started playing with this new set last night, and it’s so much fun! it pairs wonderfully with all of our holiday designer papers, including the city scene from the Christmas Around the World pack. To get your Free Merry Patterns Stamp Set, contact me today to place an order, or schedule your October card class. (This stamp set is not available for purchase, and is only available until 10/31!)
Today’s Tutorial:
Layer 1: Basic Black, 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″
Layer 2: Christmas Around the World, City Scene, 5″ x 3 3/4″
Layer 3: Cherry Cobbler, 1″ x 2 1/2″ (2 pieces), punched with the Triple Banner Punch
Layer 4: Whisper White, 3 1/2″ x 1 1/2″
- Stamp “Tis the Season” outline stamp in Basic Black Archival Ink onto Layer 4. Then, using the “Season” patterned stamp, stamp it in Cherry Cobbler, filling in the outline. These photopolymer stamps are perfect for two-step stamping! You can see exactly where to place them and line them up.
- Adhere the two pieces of Layer 3 to the back of Layer 4.
- Adhere Layers 1 & 2 to Base. Add sentiment with dimensionals.
- Add 3 small Basic Rhinestones to the 3 small dots on the “swirl”.
