Speaking of adventures, Saturday night was Kit Night! You just never know what kind of fun is going to happen at kit night. Everyone brought their own kit to work on and guess what…there were no duplicates! Pam was working on Soft Sayings; Connie & Mary Beth were were working together on Oh Happy Day; Rosie brought last year’s Tin of Tags; Kenley, the Lad’s girlfriend, put together the Love Today Planner, and then helped my niece and I put together the new Be Merry ornament kit that came in my holiday preorder on Friday! I served nachos and margaritas and Kenley and my niece made mini-cupcakes. My niece is almost 9 and told us that no party was complete without cupcakes! We spent the first 20-30 minutes having snacks and getting to know one another. My sister was there and was hoping to craft too, but my nephew had other plans. They ended up at the park just up the street. But she stopped to chat and check on progress. There were displays of next Sunday’s Coffee and Cards Class, as well as my 1st Christmas Card Club, which meets later this month. And, at the end of the night, there was a raffle for a free kit. Kenley, who had also attended my Stamping Bee Pina Colada & Cards afternoon, won her own Oh Happy Day kit. It will be perfect for study breaks in the dorms this fall! It was a fun night…I love kit nights and try to do them once a quarter. If you have purchased a kit from Stampin’ Up! , watch for the next one. We’d love to have you join us! |
