After months of planning and preparation, the 2019 holiday Stamping in the Mountains Retreat is finally over. Goodie bags were passed out, cards, candles, frames, and memory albums were created. But best of all, memories were made with old friends and new.
If there was a theme to the weekend, it was that of connection. Over and over again I heard ladies talking about the best thing about their time with Stampin’ Up! It’s not just about the paper, ink, and stamps, but rather the relationships and friendships we’ve made along the way. Through crafting, we’ve been able to cope with those hard stages in life that are just plain difficult: painful divorces, the loss of a beloved parent, health scares, and even loneliness. Conversely, we’ve celebrated those happy times such as weddings, new babies, graduations, birthday,s and anniversaries. I shouldn’t be any surprise then when I say we laugh and cry at retreat.
As I begin unpacking and putting all my supplies away, I’ll carry with me the memories we made this last weekend. It’s good to put this to rest. But rest assured, I’m already planning our next one. Won’t you come, too? Watch next week for more information on the spring 2020 Stamping at the Beach retreat!
