Sometimes, less is more. It’s easy to become overwhelmed by color or by patterns, Maybe the designer series paper is too bold or busy. If that’s the case, use small bits of patterned paper adds a pop of color, without detracting from the overall visual.
Today, I used a small 1″ x 5″ strip of Woven Threads Designer Series Paper to create a soft focal point, without detracting from my message. This card is a perfect example of #SimpleStamping and is a great way to get the most out of those small strips of paper.

Base: Basic Black, 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″
Layer 1: Whisper White: 5 1/8″ x 3 /7″
Layer 2: Basic Black 1 1/8″ x 5 1/8″
Layer 3: Woven Threads Designer Series Paper, 1″ x 5″
Layer 1: Whisper White: 5 1/8″ x 3 /7″
Layer 2: Basic Black 1 1/8″ x 5 1/8″
Layer 3: Woven Threads Designer Series Paper, 1″ x 5″
- Stamp sentiment and flourishes in Tuxedo Black.
- Adhere layers 1-3. Wrap twice with Whisper White Baker’s Twine and tie a bow. Add to card.
- Finish with 3 small 2019-2021 In Color Faceted Dots.
