See a Silhouette Meets the Sea

It doesn’t seem possible, but in less than a week, I’ll be headed to Greece on the Stampin’ Up! incentive trip.  Actually, a week from today I’ll just be landing in Rome! Even with getting a new passport, planning for excursions, shopping, and wondering how big of a suitcase I should take, I just can’t seem to wrap my head around the fact that I’m actually going!  

Greece…the land of ancient myths and the birthplace of western civilization…the azure of the Aegean and the roofs of Santorini…the fishing and sailing boats.  A place I never thought I’d visit, and yet, it looms on the horizon in front of me. I may not sleep for the next week as I eagerly await my journey.  

This sheet of the See a Silhouette Designer Series Paper evokes the feelings of the sea. Shades of blue and full of waves, it makes the perfect background to pair with both the High Tide and Sailing Home Stamp Sets.

No matter where your travels take you this summer, be they far or wide, near or far I hope you take the time to make lots of new memories.

Base: Whisper White Thick Cardstock, 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″
Layer 1: Night of Navy, 5 1/2″ x 2 1/8″
Layer 2: See a Sihouette Designer Series Paper, 5 1/2″ x 2″
Layer 3: Night of Navy Layering Circles Die
Layer 4: Whisper White Layering Circles Die

1. Adhere Layers 1 & 2 to Base. 
2. On Layer 4, stamp images and birds in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  Stamp sailboat in Night of Navy and use a Clear Wink of Stella to color and gently pull  & blend the ink from the image.  adhere to Layer 3 and add to base. 
3. Finish with 3 Basic Rhinestones, colored with the Dark Night of Navy Stampin’ Blends Marker.
