This card, designed by my good friend Julia Fair, is nothing short of amazing. She made for me a few weeks ago and it is all about building layers – layers of paper and ink. I love how she took one of the reindeer from the Santa’s Sleigh stamp set and made him the focal point. And do you see the detailed shading on him? Next, look how she layered ink on the Pinewood Planks Dynamic Impressions Embossing folder. By layering ink right onto the embossing folder before running it through the big shot, she was able to get that two-toned weathered look. So trendy and vintage! And have you see the new Decorative Ribbon Border Punch yet? It made turned a rugged masculine card just a little softer by adding that delicate border under the greeting. I love everything about this card and I can’t wait to give it a try myself.
And now….last week’s winner of the Deck the Halls card is….Angela Hunter! Angela, I hope you enjoy this card as much as your husband enjoys those striped peppermint sticks you get him for Christmas!
