Product of the Week:  Butterflies

Talk about a stamping weekend!  Friday night, I drove 2 hours to stamp with a new group of ladies.  We had a blast stamping and assembling the Made to Bloom Card Kit. This all-inclusive kit is perfect for beginning stampers and is even prettier in person!   We had so much fun stamping, laughing, and sharing that we’re getting together again in March & May!  

​Then, on Saturday, I spent the morning cutting more packets for Sunday’s Sweet & Simple Class!  I had several last minute RSVP’s and you know I can’t say no to anyone who wants to come stamp with me! 

I did take a break Sunday afternoon when my parents and I went to lunch and attended Cirque du Soleil’s Cortero.  It was a great show and a completely different stage than I’d seen with Cirque before.  As always, it was extremely disappointing when it was over.  But I got pretty excited Saturday night when someone from Cirque liked a photo on my Instagram account!  

Sunday night, I was back at it, cutting paper for Sunday night’s Stamping Bee Team Meeting! This meeting was extra special because Tanner Smedly from the Stampin’ Up! home office came to visit!  Oh my goodness…everyone was so excited.  Tanner was amazing – gracious, friendly, and answered everyone’s questions and took suggestions with good natured patience.  We had a great meal with a nice Asian Chicken salad, lots of fruit, French Bread, and two yummy home made desserts.  And…we did a little Stamping  It was a jam packed evening and once everyone left, and I got the food put away and the kitchen cleaned, I sat by the fireplace and watched Victoria on PBS.

This week, I’ll be showcasing butterflies! There are several in the the Occasions catalog and I’m just loving them all! Today’s card was my featured swap card for the Stamping Bee Team Meeting yesterday.   It’s another very good example of #SimpleStamping.

Base: Whisper White Thick cardstock, 4 1/4″ x 11
Layer 1: Highland Heather, 2″ x 5 1/2″
Layer 2: Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper

1. In Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, stamp sentiment on Base. (And the inside sentiment, which says, “It’s a million things”).
2. Add Layers 1-2 to Base. 
3. Finish with Butterfly Elements.
