Perennial Essence – When You Don’t Know What To Say

We’ve all been there.  A friend is experiencing something awful – a divorce, a death of a loved one, the loss of a pet, unexpected job transitions – and we just don’t know what to say.  So, instead of appearing awkward, we say nothing. But we feel bad saying nothing. I mean, we should say something, right? 

Allow  me introduce you to this “I didn’t know what to say” sentiment from the Genuine Gems stamp set.  I received this set at OnStage in April, and I really like the sentiments in it. It’s not your typical birthday/congrats/thank you greetings.   I actually like the name of the French set better….Quand les Mots – or “When the words”.  True, right?  When words just aren’t enough, I’m going to reach right for this Genuine Gems stamp set.

And when words aren’t enough, say it with flowers from the Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper Stack. 

Base: So Saffron, 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″ & 2 3/4″
Layer 1: Flirty Flamingo, 4 1/8″ x 3 1/8″
Layer 2: Perennial Essence, 4″ x 3″ 
Inside Layer 1: Flirty Flamingo. 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″
Inside Layer 2: Whisper White, 5″ x 3 3/4″ 
Scrap of Whisper White, cut with Stitched Labels Die

1. Stamp Sentiments  in Tuxedo Black on Inside Layer 2 & scrap. 
2. Adhere Inside Layers 1 & 2 to inside of card. 
3. Adhere Layers 1 & 2 and wrap with Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon. Tie a bow. Put adhesive ONLY on the side of that will adhere to the front card flap.  Otherwise, you’ll glue your card shut!
4. Sponge label with So Saffron and adhere to card with dimensionals.
