Party Panda – Love You (with video)

Out of all of the samples we saw at OnStage in November, I couldn’t wait to get my own copy of Party Pandas from the 2018  Sale-a-Bration catalog.  I just wanted to play with him!  He’s got such a round little tummy, and those great big eyes.  Isn’t he adorable?   But…I told myself I couldn’t play until I got all of my Christmas events completed.  Well, guess what?  I still have FOUR events this week, but I just couldn’t wait.  Last night, I cleaned off my desk and pulled this little guy out of the box.  

The whole time I was thinking of my designs with him, I kept thinking I’d pair him with Bermuda Bay, but when I started opening my new  packs of  designer series papers, this heart pattern from the Bubble & Fizz Sale-a-Bration pack jumped right out at me.  I love how the heart on the Panda’s envelope echoes the hearts on the paper.  So…instead of Bermuda Bay, I grabbed my Calypso Coral and got to work.

This card came together so quickly and I was so excited…I decided to do a video for you.  It’s raw and uncut, mainly because I couldn’t for the life of me figure out how to edit my major blooper out in the middle.  But, please watch the whole thing, because I give you an awesome tip for how to turn those two Silver Metallic Enamel Stars into Calypso Coral  ones!  (All measurements for the card are found under the video).

What do you think about coloring those shapes with the Blends?  I love it!  I can see lots of colors in my future!

• Layer 1:  Whisper White, 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″
• Layer 2:  Bubble & Fizz Designer Series Paper,  Hearts, 5″ x 3 3/4″
• Layer 3: Basic Black, 3 3/4″ x 2″
• Ovals: 
  • Whisper White, smallest Layering Oval and 2nd largest Stitched Shape oval. 
  • Calypso Coral, coordinating scalloped Layering Ovals.
