Welcome to this months NC Demos Blog Hop! We are a group of Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrators from North Carolina. As demonstrators, we are able to see and order new products before they are officially launched in the new catalog.
I was thrilled to receive the Marquee Messages stamp set at the April OnStage convention. After all, who doesn’t like getting free products to play with before they can be ordered?The Marquee Messages immediately made me think of my son. He’s a vintage car buff, with his favorite era being the 1950s. This just called his name as I thought of 57 Chevys, car hops, and drive in movies.
With finals coming up, I knew I just had to make this for him as encouragment. In bright, primary colors (Pacific Point, Crushed Curry, and Real Red), this was the perfect masculine car. I ‘blinged’ it out, too, making every single one of those lights “light up” with a rhinestone gem.
This is a really fun set to play with. The sky’s the limit as you play with different color combos and sentiments.
I saw Brian King’s use of subtle colors and CASEd his to to show some variety.

I had to think about it, but once I started using it, it was just too much fun.
