Today on Coffee and Cards, we made My Meadow Scalloped Notecards. They’re easier than the look, so come along and stamp with me! Keep reading for a full list of colors used plus step-by-step video.
On last week’s Crafty Saturday Facebook Live, I said I’d challenged myself to use the My Meadow Stamp Set this week. After my plumbing problems Monday and a different design for #CaseingTuesday, I finally had time to get back to my plan for the week.
I had so much fun making these My Meadow Scalloped Notecards. It’s amazing when you look at the My Meadow Stamp Set, it looks like a bunch of shapes and while you understand it builds a landscape, if you’re spatially challenged, like I am, knowing how to use those shapes to actually make a picture seems rather intimidating at times.
Then, you have to decide what colors to use. I don’t have a formula…I just look and see what colors I think go well together. They key is lining them up on your work space in the order you’re going to use them, along with the stamps that go with each color. This helps you avoid cross color-contamination. Today’s colors included:
To decorate the inside I used the Power of Hope Stamp Set from Sale-a-Bration. Plus, I made an oops inside. You’ll have to watch today’s video to see how I fixed it!
