My family vacation to the place I call home

I’m home!  Where is home to me?  I grew up in Spokane, Washington and as a teenager, couldn’t wait to leave.  As soon as I graduated college, I got my first teaching job in California and thought I’d never look back.  But, I’ve spent the better half of the last 28 years trying to figure out how come move back home. I’ve haven’t been here in  21 years, and it truly is like being in heaven.   

I’m here with my parents this week, seeing old places with new eyes…and new places, with older, wiser, and wistful eyes.  But everywhere we go, the sights and the smells awaken memories and bring up countless, “What if’s” and “If only’s”.  

I invite you to join my family and me as we journey through the Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho corridor, making new memories along the way.
