Lovely Wishes on a Snowy Day

I love a snowy day in the spring.  It’s beautiful, white, quiet…and you know it will melt soon!  While my friends up north are preparing for their 4th snowstorm this month, I can sit here, drink my coffee, and not worry about shoveling, or the roads, or running out of milk. 

I  had fun playing with the Lovely Wishes stamp set last night.  It’s one I haven’t used a lot, and I wanted something simple so I could showcase all the 2016-2018 retiring InColors.  I always get a little nostalgic this time of year, as we prepare to say goodbye to the 5 colors we’ve grown to love over the last 2 years.  

If you could choose just one of these colors to stay, which would you choose? 

Sadly, once they’re gone, they’re gone.  Even worse, once the retiring list is announced, these colors will sell out immediately.  Now is the time to stock up on your ink refills, paper, ribbon, or get a new set of markers.   

Base:  Whisper White Thick, 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
Layer 1:  Basic Black, 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″
Layer 2: 2016-2018 In Color (This used Dapper Denim), embossed with the Layerd Leaves Dynamic Textured Embossing Folder
Layer 3:  Basic Black, 3″ x 4″ 
Layer 4:  Whisper White: 2 7/8″ x 3 7/8″

1. On Layer 4:
   1. Stamp in image outline in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink
   2. Stamp Leaves in Emerald Envy. 
   3. Color Flowers with 2016-2018 In Color Stampin’ Write Marker. 
   4. Stamp  sentiment in coordinating  2016-2018 In Color. 
2. Adhere Layers 1 & 2.  Wrap with In Color Ribbon and tie a knot.  Adhere to Base. 
3. Adhere Layers 3 & 4.  Add to Base. 
4. Finish with Metallic Enamel heart.
