“it’s a smile, it’s a kiss, it’s a sip of wine … it’s summertime!”  *

When my good friend, Katherine, told me she was going to venture into the wine tasting business, I was more than happy to volunteer to host a wine tasting party for her.  After all, who doesn’t like a free wine???  So, after choosing a date, I naturally told her I’d make the invitations. 

Using Stampin’ Up’s retired “Happy Hour” stamp set, I wanted to create something playful, yet elegant.  I couldn’t decide which base color I liked best, so I made both!  The Whisper White base made the purples more vibrant.  But the Blackberry Bliss base reminded me of a rich merlot, with all the subtle flavors of blackberry, raspberry, and just a hint of smoky dark chocolate. Some embossing and a layer of Bohemian designer paper and I think we’re ready to send them off.
