I was working late in my studio one night this week, when my friend Selene texted me this sketch. That’s nice, I thought, but what is it? It all started to make more sense, when she texted me the next photo.
I’d forgotten, but one night at OnStage in April, we’d been talking about making cards (of course) and how we can draw our inspiration from just about anywhere. I tend to be inspired by colors. Selene is in artist and is inspired by design. Here’s what inspired this original design. |
So, as a tribute, I decided to use this design as this week’s Stamping Bee card challenge. I wanted to be original, but the Be Merry Designer Series Paper pack has red and white striped paper!!! I knew I just had to use it. What do you think? From Cracker Jack’s to Christmas card in no time flat!
Congratulations to Shawn Poe!
I’ll be sending you these two lovely cards in the mail.

I love this card and it’s inspiration! I always buy my husband a box of striped peppermint sticks for his stocking because they remind him of his grandparents. Such good memories!
