It’s #CASEingTuesday233 and today’s card sends an I hope you’re feeling better message. It’s a rather unorthodox get well card, but it should surely fit its purpose. Can you guess which three stamp sets I used?
Last week, my son’s co-worker was severely injured in a motorcycle accident. He’s been in ICU for a week now, with a long road of recovery ahead of him. I told my son I’d make him a card to take to him when he can have visitors in the hospital. I didn’t think he’d want to be reminded of the motorcycle, and since they’re both mechanics, I decided to use Geared Up Garage as my focus, with a sentiment from Itty Bitty Greetings. I really liked the watercolor background in today’s #CASEingTuesday card, so I kept that element to add some depth to my background. As I was starting to assemble it though, I thought it looked rather bland. Back to my stamp shelf! I wasn’t sure what I needed, but when I came across the High Tide set with those little tufts of grass, I knew that would be perfect.
I won’t lie; making a masculine card can be a challenge. I wanted to add a bow or rhinestones or sequins. Something! In the end, I left it as is, letting the heartfelt wishes for a full recovery lead the way.
