Global Top 250

 I’m spending the week in the Boston area with my friend and mentor, Selene Kempton, helping her prepare for her upcoming weekend retreat.  We were both busy working in yesterday when we got a call from our friend, Brenda Qunintana.  Both Selene and Brenda were recognized last week’s OnStage as being top performers in Stampin’ Up, and I was so proud to see them walk across the stage to be proclaimed in the Top 100 Globally.  So, when Selene called me into the other room to talk to Brenda on speaker phone, I naturally thought is was about their awards.   I about fell off the couch when Brenda said “Congratulations, Michelle.  You’re ranked at #203 in the Top 250!”  

Sure enough, when we went and looked at the numbers Stampin’ Up! had just posted, out of 48,000 demonstrators worldwide, I rank at #203 globally, and #107 in the U.S.  I don’t know who was more excited, Brenda (#91 Globally) or Selene, (#34 globally; #19 in the US).   To think that I’ve gotten this far in less than 3 years is just truly magical.  If we are known by the company we keep, I am truly in the very best company!

But I couldn’t have done this with you YOU!  Being part of Stampin’ Up! is more than just being a number.  And it’s more than paper and ink.  It’s about building a community of stampers.   It’s about bringing women (and men) together for a few hours of stress-free creativity.  I strive to create a safe, fun, and relaxing stamping environment, where we can all just sit back and have a few hours to ourselves, to craft and create something beautiful.  The cards and projects we make we then share with others.  Time spent crafting isn’t wasted; it’s about sharing our time and ourselves with others.   I’ve seen so much goodness come from the cards and projects we create.  There are countless lives that have been touched all from the simple act of creating and sending a handmade card.

So…THANK YOU! Thank you for your support.  Each and everyone of you is so very special to me.  You all have your unique gifts and our time spend stamping together is something I look forward to each and every time. 

The tutorial today was my swap for my Creating Success team swap at OnStage.  I created 50 of these and swapped with 50 amazing fellow demonstrators, many of whom also placed in the top 250.    I’m excited to finally be able to share it with you!

Base:  Whisper White Thick  Cardstock, 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
Layer 1:  Bermuda Bay, 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″
Layer 2:  Whisper White, 5″ x 3 3/4″
Layer 3:  15″ Bermuda Bay 3/8″ Mini Chevron Ribbon
Layer 4:  Bermuda Bay, Layering Circle Scallop 
Layer 5:  Whisper White, smallest Stitched Shape Framelit

1. Stamp image in Bermuda Bay on Layer 2 and stamp sentiment in Bermuda Bay on Layer 5.
2. Adhere Layers 4 & 5 and set aside. 
3. Adhere layers 1 & 2.  Wrap ribbon around upper left corner, and bring it around to the lower right corner, tying a knot to secure it.  (Tie it securely enough it doesn’t slide off, but not so tight that it warps the paper. )  Adhere to base.
4. Add circle layers to card with dimensionals.
