Friday Tip: Personalize your Projects with your own Designer Ribbon

As we wrap up this week’s series with the Making Christmas Bright Bundle, I want to tell you of my struggle this week.  See, there were two days this week where I went to my ribbon rack in search for matching ribbon only to come up empty handed.  Once was on my Halloween Card yesterday,  and the other was my #CaseingTuesday169 card.

​Undeterred, I grabbed a spool of  Whisper White 1/8″ Sheer Ribbon and my Blends, and made my own ribbon in Cherry Cobbler and Pumpkin Pie.  Simple cut of the length you need, and swipe your Blend marker across it.  Make sure you have some scratch paper underneath it!  Let it dry a few seconds, and you’re on your way to personalizing your projects with your own designer ribbon.

Base: Whisper White Thick Cardstock, 8 1/2 x 5 1/2″
Layer 1: Real Red, 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″
Layer 2: Smokey Slate, 5″ x 3 3/4″, Embossed with the Corrugated Textured Impressions Embossing Folder
Layer 3: Neutral’s Designer Series Paper, Smokey Slate, 2 1/4″ x 3 3/4″
Layer 4: Real Red Sunburst Punch
Layer 5: Whisper White 2″ Circle Punch
Layer 6: Whisper White 2 3/4″ x  1″

1. In Real Red, stamp sentiment on Layer 6 and image onto Layer 5.  Sponge edges of Layer 6 with Real Red. 
2. Adhere Layers 1-3 to Base. 
3. Adhere Layers 4 & 5. Add to Base with Dimensionals. 
4. Add Layer 6 with Dimensionals. 
5. Finish with Real Red 3/8″ Cotton Ribbon bow.
