Friday Tip of the Week: 1 Color + a Neutral

I’m closing this week’s Meant to Be product of the week showcase with a Sweet & Simple Card.  Clean lines, clean stamping, and just one color.  That’s my tip this week.  Instead of trying to use all the colors in a palette (or pack of designer series paper), pick 1 color and add a neutral.  It’s so easy to overwhelm with too much color.  The 1 color and a neutral is pleasing to the eye and is just plain classy.

Base: Whisper White Thick Cardstock, 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″
Layer 1: Basic Black, 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″
Layer 2: Whisper White, 5″ x 3 3/4″
Layer 3: Calypso Coral, 3 5/8″ x 3 1/8″ 
Layer 4: 3 1/2″ x 3″

1. Stamp sentiment in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink onto Layer 2. 
2. Adhere Layers 1-4. Wrap with Calypso Coral 3/8″ Satin Ribbon and tie a knot.  Add to base. 
3. Finish with 2 Epoxy Heart Droplets, colored with a Dark Calypso Coral Blends Marker.
