Friday Tip: Hide a Glue Dot

Today, we have a Sweet & Simple card using the Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper. Beautiful, but quick, as I’m getting ready to put the final touches on my Stamping Bee day-long mini retreat tomorrow. I can’t wait as I’m so excited for everyone to dive into their goodie bags and find their gifts.  I’ve worked for several weeks on making tomorrow special for my team and our guests.  I’ll have pictures for you on Monday, but for now, everything is still undercover!

I have a quick tip for you today.  Do you ever tie a bow or not and get frustrated because the ends are not cooperating and seem to have a life of their own. That’s what happened to me today. One of the ends of my knot refused to lay down, and was standing straight up in the air no matter what I tried. So, I rolled a mini glue dot into a ball and stuck it right on the darker edge of the Petal Pink 5/8″ Organdy Striped Ribbon. It worked perfectly. And best of all, you can’t see it!

Base: Blackberry Bliss, 4 1/4″ x 11″
Layer 1: Whisper white, 5″ x 3 3/4″ (cut 2; one for inside)
Layer 2: Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper, 5″ x 2 1/2″

1. Stamp sentiment in Blackberry Bliss onto Layer 1. 
2. Adhere Layers 1-2. Wrap with Petal Pink 5/8″ Striped Organdy Ribbon and secure in the back. Tie a knot.  Adhere to card. 
3. Finish with 3 large rhinestones, which had been colored with your Dark Blackberry Bliss Blends marker.
