After lunch, it was time for some WOW! projects. The first one we made was an advent calendar. Even the Hubs got in on the action, helping us all make the stands for the calendars.
Saturday I held my first ever all-day stamping retreat. Such fun! The ladies stamped, laughed, and shared from 9am -6pm. It was a full day of paper, ink, cards, and more!
I wanted it to be a fun, memorable experience so I embroidered tote bags for everyone to hold all their Stampin’ Up! goodies. Everything was set up – from the coffee & beverage bar to the snacks and candy bar. I pulled homemade pumpkin spice sweet rolls out of the oven just as everyone arrived, and the house smelled divine!
We quickly got to work making 20 Christmas cards from using the Cookie Cutter Christmas bundle. Everyone thought the Cookie Cutter Builder Punch was just ingenious – so much fun and so versatile, too. The Eskimo card quickly became the favorite of the group.
Lunch was served on the screened porch. It was a perfect fall afternoon – the fresh air and sunshine, along with great company was delightful. The homemade ham and gruyere quiche was yummy, too!
And we ended the day with a framed 3-D Christmas Scene. It was pretty amazing to turn a 12″x12″ piece of cardstock into a full picture frame!
And no retreat would be complete without prizes!!!
Everyone went home with cards, projects, and enough goodies to keep them crafting in the days to come.
Time to start planning my next !!! See you there!
