Fall is in the Air

What a lovely surprise to wake up this morning to a nice cool breeze.  It’s been soooooooo HOT and HUMID for the last few weeks, that I haven’t even wanted to leave the house.  But this morning, when I took the dogs out, I was greeted by a hint of fall.  

It’s the little things in life that mean the most.  A text from the Lad on a Sunday afternoon; the Hubs surprising me with chips and salsa and margaritas to help chase the blues away as contemplate the long year ahead with the Lad in at school; a cool morning that hints at cooler days and nights ahead.  It is these little things in which we give thanks.

I spent all weekend in my studio.  My big holiday launch is this Sunday and I’m busy like one of Santa’s elves making sure everything is perfect.  I saw a version of this card on Billie Moan’s blog, Rambling Rose Studio.    It uses the Thoughtful Branches blossoms and the leaf stem and turns it into a perfect pumpkin for fall.  I love it paired with the woodgrain Serene Scenery Designer Series Paper.  The sentiment is from the new Suite Seasons Stamp Set from the 2016 Holiday catalog, available September 1st.

Even Charles and Storm were happy about the cooler weather.  They’re loving having the windows open for a change!
