Drive Thru Card Making

It’s hard to believe Sale-a-Bration is drawing to a close. In just a week, we’ll have to say goodbye to all these limited time, free with purchase products:  Party Pandas, Heartfelt Blooms, and Amazing You, and more.  And while  those are all perfectly lovely, what I’m going to miss most are theTutti Fruitti card bases and envelopes!

You’d think I’d wants something more glitzy and glamorous, like the3-pack of Shimmer Ribbon or the Springtime Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper.  Nope…give me these pretty,  patterned pre-cut and pre-scored card bases and matching envelopes any day!   They’re so quick and easy to use.  Just grab one off the shelf, and start stamping.  I know it doesn’t take long to cut and score a card base, but this is like going through the drive through.  It’s the convenience that makes it so appealing.  Not to mention…their patterned bases.  It’s like getting an extra layer of designer series paper!  

Speaking of missing thing.  I’m missing my Stamping at the Beach Retreat peeps!  Today’s card is from the free 8-card class that was included in their goodie bag.  It featured the Flirty Flowers Stamp Set, and yes, they all used the Tutti Fruitti card bases and envelopes!

Base: Tutti Frutti Card Base (2018 Sale-a-Bration)
Layer 1: Night of Navy, 2” x 5 ½”
 Layer 2: Pool Party, 3 ½” x 2”
Layer 3:  Shimmery White, 3 ¼” x 1 ¾”

1. Stamp image on Layer 3 in Black Archival ink.
2. To color:
   1. Outline daffodil with Daffodil Delight watercolor pencils.  Pull color into rest of flower with Blender Pen.  Add darker color as needed. 
   2. Pick up color off the Old Olive watercolor pencil with Blender Pen and color stems and leaves.
3. Adhere layers 2 & 3.
4. Stamp sentiment onto card base.  Add to Layer 2 and wrap with Whisper White Organza Ribbon.  Add bow.
5. Add image to base with dimensionals.
6. Finish with 3 rhinestones.
