Creating Success Holiday Card Swap – Harvest

One thing I like about participating in swaps, is seeing how others interpret designs and colors.  The two card I’m featuring today use colors that I don’t even have in my studio simply because they are not ‘me’.  It’s very hard for me to create when the colors don’t appeal to me, and yet, I received to lovely harvest cards featuring the Basket of Wishes Stamp Set that are absolutely lovely. 

Barbi used Elegant Eggplant as the focal point and it really makes the image stand out.  I love the use of the Copper Foil Sheets to make a ‘brad’ , anchoring that sentiment flag. 

Cajun Craze is another color that you won’t find in my studio, but it’s perfect here, reminding me of those last warm days of fall when the trees turn such lovely shades of red, orange, and yellow.  Isn’t your eye drawn right to those pretty sunflowers? 

Such a lovely job.  I’m certainly inspired to try some new colors!
