I didn’t know whether call Crafty Saturday’s project “Gusseted Bags” or Box for Socks. Either way, this Night Before Christmas gusseted bag box is perfect for those special little holiday gifts.
My Stamping Bee Team Christmas Party Saturday was a blast. We had a smaller than usual turn out, but with the holidays fast approaching, everyone seems busy juggling all their holiday responsibilities. I had a small (ok, maybe it was slightly large) panic attack when I found out my dishwasher wouldn’t turn on! I had to be like Elsa and “let it go” and ended up using paper plates to serve dinner. Dinner was delicious; I made a big spiral cut ham, and everyone brought something to share. We had mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, hummus and salsa, spoonbread, and a chocolate cherry cake that was to die for! Oh, and the best fruitcake cookies I’ve ever had. One thing’s for sure, when the Bees get together, no one starves!
And we don’t lack for fun either! Like I said earlier, we had a shoebox swap after dinner. We all gathered around my dining room table and passed our projects around. Just like a quilting bee, we shared stories and laughed and talked the whole time. More than one time, someone observed how amazing it is that just a little paper and some ink has brought this group of women together. Where once we would never have known each other, we now consider us a hive of supportive friends. I can’t even begin to tell you how much each and every one of these women are to me.
And the Bee socks were a big hit! Krystal was the winner of the socks in the video below, and I’m sure she’ll be sporting them in high fashion at our next gathering!
