Surprise! I was cleaning my craft studio and I found a box (ok several boxes) of these adorable little craft frames. The only problem was they were the color of balsa wood. So I took a chance and stained it with Gray Granite ink! I was so surprised at how ell it turned out and I absolutely love how it turned it. It turned down the yellow and gave it a weathered look.
You can do it too! You’ll need a Gray Granite re-inker, an Aqua Painter full of water, and a Sponge Brayer . Mix the ink and a several drops of water in the lid of your Gray Granite ink pad. You’ll want it to be pretty watery since this is a stain. Soak it up with yourSponge Brayer and roll it over the frame, making sure to get the inside and all the edges. For the corners, you’ll need to use yourAqua Painter. It didn’t take too long to dry either.
It’s going to look great with the rest of my fall decor! Now, if only it would cool off!
