Color Revamp: Subtles

Well, I must have been sleeping when I made these cards because, there are 5, not 4, new colors in the Subtles Collection.  ​ Which one did I leave out? Why, Highland Heather!  I’m guess I’m just not a purple person because I never even realized it was missing from my own palette.   However, Highland Heather is a pretty dreamy purple.  Like the rest of the Subtles Collection, it’s soft, delicate, slightly muted, and much more subdued than the Brights or even Regals.   That’s not to say, though, that they can’t stand alone!  There’s nothing wimpy about these colors!

Base: Soft Sea Foam, 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″
Layer 1: Basic Black, 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″
Layer 2: Soft Sea Foam, 5″ x 3 3/4″
Layer 3: Whisper White, 4 7/8″ x 3 5/8″

1. On Layer 3, stamp the following:
   1. Stems in Mossy Meadow (a new neutral!)
   2. Flowers in Soft Sea Foam
   3. Bird in Basic Black
   4. Dot border in Soft Sea Foam
   5. Sentiment in Basic Black
2. Color bird by squeezing a little So Saffron into the ink pad lid.  Add a drop or 2 of ink from your Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Pen and mix gently.  Use the glittery color to pain the bird.   Allow to dry a minute or two. 
3. Adhere all layers and add to base. 
4. Wrap Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon  around the whole front base and tie a bow.
