Last week on Coffee & Cards, I shared how to create layers with 1/4″ borders. Today, I shared how to create the same simple layering but with 1/8″ border. Here are the measurements I used today:
- Base: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
- Layer 1: 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″
- Layer 2: 5″ x 3 3/4″
- Layer 3: 4 7/8″ x 3 5/8″
- Layer 4: 4 3/4″ x 3 1/2″
When I started card making, knowing the size of the layers was of the card was the hardest part for me. I would search high and low for tutorials that included all the measurements so I could learn. And that’s why, every day, I include a full tutorial here for you. I don’t ever want anyone to say, “I really liked Michelle’s card, but I just don’t know how to recreate it.”
