It’s CASEing Tuesday, and like Rome, it’s full of Beauty & Joy. When I was in Rome this summer, I was surprised to see was all of the lemon trees growing as ornamentals along the side of the road. Just as you see Crepe Myrtle’s or Magnolia’s lining the streets of the south, lemon trees in full fruit lined the streets of Rome. On those hot summer afternoons, the lemon trees looked crisp and cool and inviting.
So when it came time to create today’s CASEing Tuesday card, I thought I’d recreate the feeling of Rome, using Terracotta Tile and Balmy Blue as my background colors, and the Beauty & Joy topiary. I tried to mimic not only the colors but also the textures I saw in the Roman architecture and the priceless works of art in the Vatican museums. I used the Stylish Scroll Embossing Folder to add some artistic texture. And I used a bit of Sahara Sand 5/8″ Woven Threads Trim behind the tree to tied it all together.
