CASE-ing Tuesday #173:  #Simple Stamping

Happy Tuesday!  It’s time to CASE the catalog.  For those of you who are new to the stamping world, when we CASE, we “Copy And Share Everything”.  Of course, CASE-ing etiquette demands that we give credit to the original creator; it’s simply the right thing to do. 

I love to case the catalog.  Why? Because there are so many great ideas in there.  But sometimes, the designs can be just a bit intimidating for beginning stampers.  This one, for instance, would be great for your avid stamper, someone who has been stamping for a while.   It has lots of layers and check out that tone-on-tone background stamping on the card base. Whew! After designing my December Sweet & Simple Stamping Class last night, I needed something not quite as involved.  So, I pared down  some of the layers and created this card, featuring the Warm Hearted Hostess Stamp Set for the sentiment.  

 It uses the same design elements, but features  a more #simplestamping approach.  And I just love the photo realistic images from the All is Bright Designer Series Paper.  It’s so festive!

Base: Real Red, 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″
Layer 1: All is Bright Designer Series Paper, 3″ x 4 1/4″
Layer 2: Basic Black, 3 1/2″ x 2 1/2″
Layer 3; Whisper White, 3 3/8″ x 2 3/8″

1. Adhere Layer 1 to Base
2. On Layer 1: 
   1. Stamp sentiment in Real Red.
   2. Stamp Tree in Call Me Clover
3. Adhere Layers 2 & 3.  Add dimensionals to the back.  Wrap Gold Metallic Thread around your hand 3-4 times and secure to the back of the layer on the dimensionals.  Add to Base.
4. Finish with red bow. ​
