CASE-ing Tuesday #150 – And a Give-Away!

Usually on CASE-ing Tuesday, I try to do a variation on the card of the day.  This week, however, I tried to get it as close to the original as possible!  The Rooted in Nature bundle is one of my favorites in the new catalog.  And it’s HUGE!  The 16- stamp set comes in two stamp cases, plus, there are 12 dies!   Whether you like evergreen or deciduous trees, there’s something here for you.  

The Rooted in Nature bundle will be just one of four stamp sets featured at my 16-card extravaganza on June 23.  Who knows…this simple watercolor technique might just be included!  Register by June 15 to attend in Person or get all 4 kits “To Go” so you can #craftwhenyouwant!

Create a card based on the parameters for our 150th Case-ing Tuesday Challenge to be entered in the drawing for a Darling Label Punch Box. No purchase is necessary to enter, but you must create a card and post it to the Facebook Challenge Thread.   

The challenge starts on Tuesday June 5th and ends on June 11th, 2018 at midnight EST. Only US residents are eligible for the drawing. The winner will be chosen randomly.

Base:  Soft Suede: 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″
Layer 1:  Nature’s Poem Designer Series Paper, 5″ x 3 3/4″
Layer 2: Shimmery White Cardstock, 4 1/2″ x 3 1/4″

1. Using an aqua painter, brush water across Layer 2, leaving a slight margin around the edge dry.  Pick up some Pool Party ink brush it onto the top 3/4″ of the card.  Clean your aqua painter and do the same with Soft Suede ink across the bottom, blending it slight where it meets the Pool Party.  Set aside and allow to dry. 
2. Adhere Layer 1 to Base. 
3. Stamp sentiment in Tranquil Tide onto Layer 2.  
4. Ink up tree stamp and lightly spritz the stamp with water.  Press carefully onto Layer 2 and hold it for a few seconds, allowing the paper to absorb the water and ink.   Allow to dry. 
5. Adhere Layer 2 to Base.  Add a bit of Crumb Cake 3/8″ Classic Weave Ribbon with some glue dots.  Add a Copper Leaf Trinket with a glue dot, and a double Linen Thread bow,
