CASE-ing Tuesday #143: Classy Guy

Does anyone else struggle with cards for guys?  I tell myself to be conservative with embellishments, but oh it’s so hard not to add a bow or glimmer dots somewhere.  I guess that’s why I like the True Gentleman Designer Series Paper.  It adds just enough design without needing a whole lot of extra stuff to jazz it up.  

Speaking of bow ties…the Lad used to love to wear ties and sweater vests when he was very young.  Oh…he’d go to kindergarten and first grade all decked out in a little dragon tie.  He was super adorable.  

I did have fun with this week’s CASE-ing Challenge.  Using designer series paper as your focal point, really makes quick, Sweet & Simple cards, that don’t require a lot of extra work.  Truly…this came together from start to finish in 10 minutes or less.

Base:  Night of Navy, 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
Layer 1: Crumb Cake, 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″
Layer 2: True Gentleman Designer Series Paper, 5″ x 3 3/4″
Layer 3:  True Gentleman Designer Series Paper, 
5″ x 1 3/4″
Layer 4: Night of Navy, Tailored Tag Punch, cut in half lengthwise
Layer 5: Crumb Cake, Tailored Tag Punch

1. Stamp sentiment in Night of Navy onto Layer 5. Layer and adhere to Layer 4​
2. Adhere Layers 1-3 onto Base. Add tag to card with dimensionals.
