CASE-ing Tuesday #139: A Little Birdie

 Every time I took the dogs out Monday, there were little birds chirping on the roof.   The daffodils are blooming.  And at the beach last weekend, the green sticky North Carolina pollen was leaving traces all over the cars.  Yes…even if they’re calling for snow later this week, spring is here. 

And so is CASE-ing Tuesday! This week, I combined two out of several bird sets I have on my shelf:  Bird Banter provided the sentiment and the image is from Flying Home.  And just like the CASE-ing card, I took a giant leap of faith and cut up one of the Sale-a-Bration Tutti Fruitti card bases as one of the layers, only I used Pool Party and not Calypso Coral. I love these bases so much, I used them as the card base for my Stamping at the Beach Stamp-a-Stack last weekend.  It’s so hard to cut them, but I do like how it turned out, don’t you?

Base:  Crumb
Cake, 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
Layer 1: Basic Black, 5 1/8 x 3 7/8″
Layer 2: Pool Party Tutti Frutti Card Base, 5″ x 3 3/4″
Layer 3: Pool Party, 3 3/4″ x 1″
Layer 4:  Basic Black Scalloped Circle
​Layer 5: Whisper White Layering Circle

1. Stamp sentiment in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink onto Layer 3.  
2. Stamp image in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink onto Layer 5.   Color using the Pool Party, Daffodil Delight, Crumb Cake, and Old Olive Blends markers.  Adhere to layer 4.
3. Adhere Layers 1-3 to Base.  Add circles with dimensionals. 
4. Finish with 3 small rhinestones colored with the Dark Daffodil Delight Blends Marker.
