CASE-ing Tuesday #131 – Heartfelt Blooms

It’s CASE-ing Tuesday and today’s card features the Heartfelt Blooms Stamp Set from the 2018 Sale-a-Bration catalog.  This stamp set is Free with every $50 purchase during Sale-a-Bration (ends 3/31/18).  What’s really amazing about this stamp, is it’s a new type of stamp.  Stampin’ Up! is calling it a “distINKtive”  stamp.  This patent pending imagery gives the impression of multi-step stamping with a single stamped image.  This is the first in this new “distINKtive” ​line; be sure to watch for more of these “distINKtive”  stamps in the coming catalogs.

I’ve had the stamp for a few months now, but to be honest, it’s the first time I got to use it!  When I saw the CASE-ing Tuesday challenge, I knew I didn’t want to stray too far from the original sketch.  And once I used it, I couldn’t stop.  It was so fast and simple, I knew I just had to share it.  And so, I featured it on my very first Monday Night Sweet and Simple Facebook Live demo last night.   (My apologies for the sideways video.  I’ll know better for next time!)

As you can see, this is a great stamp to use to create Sweet & Simple cards.  Or, if you’re an experienced stamper, you can turn this into a much more detailed and intricate image.   I can’t wait to see what you create with it.   Post your card over on the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group and join the fun. 

Base:  Fresh Fig, 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
Layer 1:  Basic Black, 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″
Layer 2:  Whisper White, 5″ x 3 3/4″
Layer 3:  Whisper White 1/4″ Organza Ribbon
Layer 4:  Fresh Fig 1/8″ Sheer Ribbon

1. Stamp image and sentiment in Fresh Fig onto Layer 3.  
2. Adhere Layers 2 & 3.  Wrap 6″ of Whisper White 1/4″ Organza Ribbon around the front and secure on the back with glue dots.  Do the same with 6″ of Fresh Fig 1/8″ Sheer Ribbon.  Add an Organza Ribbon to the front with a glue dot. 
3. Adhere layers to base.
