This deer is my favorite part of the Santa’s Sleigh stamp set. He’s usually paired with a sleigh full of toys, or some trees. But today, I wanted him to stand alone, all all his regal majesty. Usually, I can start and finish a card in one sitting, but this one took a few tries as I worked to get him just right.
This week, we CASEd this card from the 2017 Holiday Catalog. It has a clean and simple design and I really like how the oval die on the front of the card provides a nice picture frame for the image.

To really add some subtle, yet sparkly color to my deer, I mixed a few drops of Wink of Stella and Sahara Sand ink and “painted” him with my Wink of Stella Glitter Brush. After all, what kind of holiday would it be if it didn’t sparkle? (You can see how sparkly he is below.)
Come play along with us! CASE-ing is a great way to improve your stamping and challenge yourself to try new styles. Create a card based on the above pattern and then post it on the Facebook Post. Or, if you post it elsewhere on Facebook, you can use the hashtag #CASEingtuesday124.
What is CASE-ing? CASE stands for Copy And Share Everything. When you CASE you can change nothing, just a few things, or everything! Play along and join the fun!

- Adhere Layer 1 to Base with Fast Fuse. Stamp image in Archival Black Ink.
- Place foil face down onto Silicon Craft Mat and add Fast Fuse to the back. (The Silicon Mat prevents the Fast Fuse from sticking to anything but the foil). Before adding it to the inside of the frame, add a gold star from the Year of Cheer Embellishments.
- With your Sahara Sand ink pad closed, give it a good squeeze or two, to smoosh some ink into the lid. Open it and squeeze 1-2 drops of Wink of Stella into the lid. Mix, and gently pain the image, working your way from the edge to the center. Let it dry, and repeat if desired.
