Today, I’m making an elegant box by heat embossing in clear and black embossing powders using the Breathtaking Bouquet background stamp. This little box would be perfect for weddings or other formal affairs.
I need a box. My sister’s birthday present is ready to ship and I need a pretty box to put it in. Never mind the fact that her birthday was Christmas Day. I’m just prolonging the anticipation!
Now…this is the same box as I made to hold a Lindor truffle for Valentine’s Day. However, instead of using designer series paper, I used Basic Black and Thick Whisper White Cardstock. (Measurements below). Using my Stamparatus and Versamark, I stamped my Breathtaking Bouquet Design on both, then used Clear Embossing Powder on the Black Cardstock and Black Embossing Powder on the White Cardstock. I was having quite a time getting my Black Embossing Powder to melt. Time to get a new jar.
Helpful tip: If you’re having trouble with your embossing powder and it just won’t melt, it might be old. Embossing powder does have a shelf life. Visit my store to refresh your supply!
