Because Life Happens

Wednesday night, I returned from my weekly torture session (ie., yoga) and found an message from my sister.  She was at the urgent care with my brother-in-law.  He’d fallen playing soccer with the kids in their cul-de-sac and torn his Achilles tendon.  A trip to the orthopedist yesterday revealed it is a complete rupture and surgery will happen today to reattach it.

Bam!  Just like that…Life happened.  And you just have to roll with it.   Life for the next few weeks and months will look different in their house.  And they may regret, like so many of us when life  happens, not having  a bedroom or at least a full bath downstairs.  Thankfully, school ended for my niece and nephew yesterday, and I’ve offered to fly out to California to help if needed.  

Life…it just happens.  And coffee certainly helps!

Base: Early Espresson, 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″
Layer 1: Very Vanilla, 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″
Layer 2: Crumb Cake, 5″ x 3 3/4″
Layer 3: Very Vanilla,  4 1/4″ x 3″
Layer 4: Share What You Love Designer Series Paper, 4 1/8″ x 2 7/8″
Layer 5: Wood Textures Designer Series Paper, Coffee Cup Die
Layer 6: Early Espresso, Coffee Cup Lid Die
Layer 7: Very Vanilla, Coffee Sleeve Die and Textured Die
Inside Layer:  Very Vanilla, 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8

1. Stamp coffee bean boarder in Early Espresso around Layer 2.  Add to Layer 1 and adhere to Base.
2. Adhere Layers 3 & 4 and add to Base with dimensionals. 
3. Stamp sentiment in Early Espresso onto Layer 7.  Cut out with die.  Run through Big Shot again with the textured die.  Adhere to Layer 5.  Add Layer 6 with Glue dots.   Add to card with dimensionals.
