Amazing Varied Vases

It’s another patriotic themed card today.  This time, it’s with the Varied Vases Bundle (available June 2), though I borrowed the sentiment from All Things Thanks.  I really think the Varied Vases Bundle is going to be a big hit because of the amazing Vases Builder Punch that goes with it.  I know you’re going to have a lot of fun with it!

Yesterday, my Dad and I made the 6-hour round trip drive to go visit the Lad up in Boone.  It was a big day because we got to meet his girlfriend.  They’ve been dating since February and it was time to introduce her to family.  She’s quite nice and we had a lovely day walking around downtown Boone.   I’d never had Saigon Street Noodles with bbq pork, but when in North Carolina, I guess you can put bbq on anything!  It really did need some of that amazing  Eastern Carolina vinegar based bbq sauce to go on top of everything, though.  If you’ve never had Eastern Carolina bbq, you don’t know what you’re missing!  Then, we went back to his apartment – he’d even cleaned for us! – and I fell asleep on the very comfy couch before we headed back down the mountain.  It was a lovely day, finished by a lovely evening on my screened porch with an ice cold bottle of Sangria that my my friend Pam brought over.  

Family…friends…good food…good wine…it just doesn’t get any better than this!

Base:  Crumb Cake, 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″
Layer 1: Crumb Cake, punch with Starburst Punch
Layer 2: Pearlized Doily
Layer 3: Vases punched with Vases Builder Punch out of scraps of Real Red and Blueberry Bliss, 

1. In Versamark, stamp:
   1. Sentiment on Layer 1
   2. Flowers and leaf on Base
2. Sprinkle with White Embossing Powder and melt with Heat tool. 
3. Color flowers and leaves with Real Red and Granny Smith Stampin’ Write Markers.
4. Adhere Vases to base.  Add small double bow tied with White Thread from the Share What You Love Embellishment Kit. 
5. Adhere Layers 1 & 2 with Snail and add to Base. 
6. Finish with small Basic Pearls.
