Just when you thought it couldn’t get any better…a new twist on using your designer series paper. On the left, we have a 2″ strip like we’ve done earlier this week. But on the right? Oh, on the right we have this awesome designer dress. The technique is simple. I just stamped the image in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink directly onto the Blushing Bride designer series paper. Then, I cut the dress out using my paper snips and glued it back on with a little multipurpose glue.
This Paper Piecing technique is great for using up paper scraps and as alternative to coloring. Tomorrow, I’ll show you more way to ways to use your scraps from 6″ x 6″ paper. I will be at the beach with my girlfriends, but I’ll have a video for you just the same.

Base: Basic Gray, 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″
Layer 1: Blushing Bride, 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″
Layer 2: Whisper White, 5″ x 3 3/4″
Layer 3: Basic Gray, 5″ x 2 1/8″
Layer 4: Blushing Bride Designer Series Paper, 5″ x 2″
Layer 5: Blushing Bride Designer Series Paper Scrap
Layer 1: Blushing Bride, 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″
Layer 2: Whisper White, 5″ x 3 3/4″
Layer 3: Basic Gray, 5″ x 2 1/8″
Layer 4: Blushing Bride Designer Series Paper, 5″ x 2″
Layer 5: Blushing Bride Designer Series Paper Scrap
- Adhere Layers 1-4 to base.
- Stamp image onto Layer 4, then again on to layer 5 in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. Cut out the dress and glue to Layer 4. Color image with Stampin’ Blends.
- Finish with 3 pearls.
