A Fun Time was Had by All!

What did you do this weekend?  Friday night, the Hubs, Rosie (my assistant), and I spent several hours setting up for my New Catalog launch and BOGO Breakfast.  The Hubs graciously carried all the tables and boxes of retired product downstairs for us, and Rosie and I got everything set up and ready to go.  At 9 am promptly, there was a knock on the door, and the real fun began!

I had turned the dining room into our make-and-take area.  Everyone was invited to make 5 quick and cute card, featuring the new Stampin’ Up! In Colors and the Daisy Punch.  

These cards were a big hit!  I even had some brand new stampers join us, and after a quick demonstration, they were off making their own cards.  It’s so amazing when I hear ladies tell me they aren’t crafty or artistic.  And once they put ink on paper, it’s like magic!  There’s a “WOW” moment and this transformation occurs.  By the end, they sit up a little more straight, they have more confidence, and they smile from ear-to-ear as they share what they’ve made saying, “Look!  I made that!”  It happens all the time and it’s one of the best parts about being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator.  And, they’ve signed up for my Fixer Upper: Color Theory Class at the end of the month, too!

The living room was transformed into my ‘store’.  There were tables and racks full of retired stamp sets, card stock, designer series paper, ribbon, punches, Big Shot framelits, thinlits, and embossing folders and more!  I also had some grab bag baskets with opened ribbons and embellishments .   Man!  You can cram a lot of stuff into a grab bag!  

I’d also received 40 swaps in the mail on Thursday, so I was able to showcase a lot of new ideas to use with the new catalog!  

There was also a nice breakfast bar, which I forgot to take pictures of!  There was Vanilla yogurt, with all sorts of toppings:  granola, fresh berries, almonds, and even chocolate chips.  I had coffee, espressos, and mimosas to sip while shopping, stamping, and visiting.  

It was a lot of fun and I’m so grateful for everyone who stopped by.  If you weren’t able to come, I’ll be doing an online version within the next few weeks, just as soon as I update all the photos of my retried products.  So stay tuned!
