A Cake Soiree Birthday Card for my Sister

With a Christmas Day as a birthday, my sister has had to share her birthday with the Christmas festivities and excitement.  Because of this, we try our best to make her birthday extra special.  This year, her card featured the new Cake Soiree Stamp Set and Painted with Love Specialty Designer Series Paper.   Her favorite color is pink and this new paper with golf foil accents is just perfect.  It reminds me of those fabulous San Diego sunsets she gets to experience every night.  Well, every night it isn’t foggy, that is!

And look, I even stamped the stamped and colored the inside of the card with a pretty present.

​Because her birthday is on Christmas, we very rarely get to celebrate together.  I think it’s time we fix that, don’t you?  ​

Base:  Whisper White, 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
Layer 1:  Calypso Coral, 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″
​Layer 2:  ​Painted with Love Specialty Designer Series Paper, 5″ x 3 3/4″
Layer 3: Whisper White for the Cake
​Layer 4:  Champagne Foil Sheet, cut with Cake Stand framelit. 

Inside Layers: 
​Layer 5:  Calypso Coral,  5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″
Layer 6:  Whisper White, 5″ x 3 3/4″

1. ​Stamp cake image in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  Cut shape out with the Cake Framelit.  Color with Old Olive, Calypso Coral,  Pink Porouette, and Rich Razzleberry Stampin’ Blends. 
2. Adhere Layers 1 & 2.  Wrap Calypso Coral 1/4″ Ombre Ribbon around  and attach to the back with glue dots.   Add to base.
3. Add cake stand  and cake with Mini Dimensionals.  Add bow.
4. Stamp sentiment and image on Layer 6 with  Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  Color present with  Old Olive, Calypso Coral, Pink Piroutte, and Rich Razzleberry Stampni’ Blends.  Adhere to Layer 5 and add to inside of card.
