25 Days of Christmas – Day 19 Peace

We’re winding down from our busy pre-Christmas rush, we feel a sense of peace.  Our son, The Lad, is home from his first semester away from home.  His finals are over and he’s exhausted.  The Hubs’ birthday is tomorrow, as is my sister’s 11th wedding anniversary.  We went with my inlaws today to visit the Polonez Polish Market and stock up on kielbasa and pierogis – I have some simmering on the stove for dinner.  In short, we’re getting ready for our long winter’s nap.  

But…I have a secret.  I’ve had all the pieces of this card stamped and cut out for several weeks.  They’ve been sitting on my desk in my crafting studio, just staring at me, daring me to finish the design and glue it down.  I’d play with it and make a few adjustments…and walk away.  It’s not that I didn’t like it.  In fact, it’s quite the opposite.  I liked it so much, I didn’t want to make a mistake.  
Do you do that?  Are you a perfectionist?  I’m not as bad as some people and it doesn’t have to be perfect.  To me, that says it’s handmade.  But Bermuda Bay is probably my absolute favorite color (Ok…so is Lost Lagoon…and Blackberry Bliss) and the simplicity of it and white is just breath taking.  And it uses the very first Stampin’ Up! stamp set I ever bought – Festival of Trees.  Truly, this picture doesn’t do it justice.
